Once you have your keywords sorted and your site up and running you will need to promote it and one easy way is article submission and video.

You can write articles on  topics relating to your website including your keywords and key phrases in the article text and submit them to  directories like Ezine Articles (www.ezinearticles.com) and GoArticles (www.goarticles.com).  This is a good way to get backlinks and traffic. Do not submit the same article to other directories as this will be seen as duplicate content by Mr Google.

An important part of this submission process is your profile or resource box. This is where you put your website address to get the readers to visit your site. A lot of directories do not allow these links in the actual article so they supply you with this resource box. When you join a directory, use a picture of yourself as people will relate to a person rather than just a name.

Another good way to use your keyword phrases is by linking them with online videos which are rapidly becoming one of the most effective ways to promote your website.  Create simple videos related to your keywords and phrases. These don’t have to be you on camera. Lots of videos are simple PowerPoint type slide shows with a voice over reading what is on screen…easy peasy. Upload these to YouTube etc., and you can also embed these into your blog. There are also free video uploaders to get your video distributed to lots of other sites.

And yet another method of getting backlinks is to comment on blogs, Web 2.0 sites and contribute on forums. This is even easier than article writing and gets lots of links.
